Our founder and Managing Director, Justin Rousseau, has 14 years of experience managing tourism and recreation organizations. After overseeing many projects, Justin determined the need for a tourism and recreation planning firm dedicated to uncompromising quality and value.  In 2009, he acted on that vision and founded Expedition Management Consulting.  Justin has surrounded himself with an outstanding staff team and partners with exceptional organizations.  This ensures deliverables are of the highest quality… every time.

Since 2009, Justin has built Expedition into a thriving and successful tourism and recreation consulting practice. He has done this through his dedication to the highest possible client service and his personal commitment to client satisfaction. When you engage Expedition, Justin will be with you from the very beginning of your project, to the very end. This commitment also extends well beyond project completion and many Clients have enjoyed the opportunity to meet Justin for coffee to discuss challenges and opportunities during implementation. It is this type of personal service that Expedition can offer because Justin is the owner/operator and is deeply invested in the on-going success of his Clients.

Justin has led hundreds of successful projects, managed multi-million dollar budgets, supervised large staff teams and driven strategic initiatives in large, mid-sized and smaller organizations. Justin enjoys helping organizations increase revenue, decrease cost, and drive performance. He is committed to high quality work, professionalism and outstanding results.

He does this by developing well-researched and well-supported strategies, plans, and assessments that are customized to reflect the unique characteristics of the communities he works with. As a member of the EMC team, Maxwell is committed to high quality work, professionalism, and outstanding results.

Framed by a growth mind-set, Cassandra understands the importance of activating recreation spaces and facilities through programs, events, and activities that are engaging and sustainable. Lisa is a community strategist with a background in urban planning. She has worked for over 18 years with municipalities and local organizations to develop and successfully implement practical plans, programs, policies, and strategic initiatives. Her experience and expertise span the fields of economic revitalization, cultural planning, urban development, city and neighbourhood planning, heritage interpretation, parks and active transportation. She enjoys working with stakeholders to identify and prioritize actions to advance positive change in their communities. She loves working through complex challenges and is committed to helping clients find the clarity and momentum they need to turn their visions into reality.

Erin has successfully engaged with a wide variety of cultures and has had particular success in engaging with Indigenous communities. She believes in a collaborative approach to building relationships and partnerships, thus creating the space for divergent groups to share their experiences in order to build understanding and move forward – together.
