Our team completed a comprehensive business plan for the proposed expansion of the G.H. Dawe Community Centre in Red Deer, AB. The expansion is seen as an opportunity for the City to revitalize an existing facility, improve service levels in the community, and enhance facility performance and sustainability. The business plan included a vision for the expanded facility, marketing and programming recommendations, detailed action items, implementation tactics, and key performance measures.
An enhanced governance structure was developed that would better accommodate the expanded scope of the facility.
A staffing plan was created which described the number of FTE’s required in the expanded facility and what level of service would be provided.
Innovative entrepreneurial approaches to revenue generation and cost recovery were paired with best practices to improve community value, inclusion, accessibility, and the financial sustainability of the facility.
A detailed action plan was developed that included overarching goals for the facility relating to program development, organizational development, market development and financial sustainability.
