Expedition was pleased to work with the Castle Downs Recreation Society, the YMCA, the City of Edmonton, and other stakeholders to identify the recreation, leisure, cultural programming and facility needs of the community over the next ten years. Additional highlights include a review of strategic partnerships, community demands, and a detailed facility and program review.
The engagement process consisted of a statistically reliable telephone survey, board workshop, youth pizza party input session, community event consultations and one-on-one stakeholder interviews. The process highlighted the unique needs and multicultural make-up of the Castle Downs area of Edmonton.
A comprehensive needs assessment was completed that described the need for community facilities and programs. A prioritized action plan was provided to leverage strategic partnerships in future program and facility development.
